An Elegantly Understated Transformation
The Art is in the Detail
Handpainting in soft white, gentle distressing, a hand rubbed wax finish, and copper-tone metalic on the cabinet hardware. The the range hood was updated with coppery metal leaf. The homeowners choice of a gorgeous white subway tile back splash and new chandelier completed the transformation from Tuscan to classicly understated. Just A Touch of Color

Bahamas Oceanside Getaway
Our homeowner chose to bring the cheerful varigated Caribean blue water colors inside.
Two shades of blue in wash layers, a pearlized wash, waxing and burnishing gave us the watercolor effect she was seeking.
As with most little hide-aways in the Bahamas, the kitchen cabinets are made of plywood. We were still able to achieve a long-lasting polished finish with depth.
A little touch of whimsy with the cabinet pulls helps pull the oceanside theme together.
